Greetings from the Star Prairie Lions Club!
This year Star Prairie will be
celebrating its 41st Annual Ox Cart
Days celebration on August 20-21-22, 2010 and we would like to invite
you to participate in the Ox Cart
Days parade on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
Ox Cart Days parade is Sunday,
August 22, at 2:00 P.M.

Units will line up on County Road H to the West of
Highway 65. Parade officials will be at the
intersection of County Road H and Highway 65 to
assist you. We would greatly appreciate having
you participate in our parade. Units will be
judged during the parade and awards will be given
for the best units in the following categories:
Historical, Commercial, Humorous, and Royalty.

Please make note of all the parade
guidelines listed below. All
political entries will be charged a $50.00 fee to
enter the parade. There will be no charge for
any other entries. Please return parade applications by
July 1, 2010. Make check
(if applicable) payable to: Star
Prairie Lions Club and return the forms and checks
to the address at the top of this letter. Once we receive your
application, we will notify you by email with your
line-up number. Make sure you provide an email
address on your parade application. Those that don’t
provide an email address will be contacted by
phone or mail. This letter and all the parade information is also available in the
downloads section for your convenience. If you have

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ALL
ENTRIES
RULES
1. Entrants must observe applicable rules and
regulations and follow all instructions from
police or parade officials or be withdrawn.
2. Entrants must fill out and return an
application form with applicable payment.
3. For the spectator’s safety, any material
thrown from a unit MUST BE BY A PERSON THAT IS
ABLE TO THROW TO THE CURB.
4. All units are required to close the gap
between units when ordered by parade officials.
5. The parade committee reserves the right to
withdraw any unit which does not conform to the
standard of reasonable public taste.
6. Each animal entry must provide their own
clean-up unit. Any entry without a clean-up unit
will not be allowed on the parade route.
FEES
1. All political entries will be
charged a $50.00 fee to enter the parade.
2. There will be no fees charged for any other
entries in the parade.
DEADLINES
1. Interested participants are urged to return
their application forms early.
2. All parade entries are expected to be in
place 30 minutes prior to the parade start.
